Community and Charity Support

Sporting Sponsorships

Turnbull is a long-established family-run business with strong sporting, charity and community links in the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire area. Below you’ll find details of some of the local groups and organisations which we support.

Turnbull has been the main sponsor of Sleaford Rugby Club for many years, supporting its wide range of teams from the U6s right through to the Men’s and Women’s First Teams.

We have a long-standing relationship with our local club. The Turnbull name proudly appears on the back of Boston United’s matchday shirts, and were actively involved in the development of the new community stadium in 2019/20.

Turnbull has provided continuous team sponsorship to Sleaford Cricket Club for many years. We’re delighted by their ongoing success and look forward to supporting their future achievements.

Turnbull is a proud ongoing sponsor of Belton Park Golf Club. Our partnership supports one of the region’s most beautifully situated courses, and we’re delighted to continue our relationship with this excellent club.

From 2025, Turnbull will become a proud sponsor of Holbeach United FC under a three-year sponsorship agreement—further strengthening our commitment to supporting local sport and community activity.

Staff at Turnbull heard about Rupert Green’s plan to take part in a skydive jump to raise money for the Combat Stress Charity and were keen to offer a donation. This charity supports ex and current servicemen and women and their families with mental health issues.

Staff Fundraising

We’re incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication shown by Turnbull staff in supporting charities that make a real difference.

Our teams hold regular fundraising events, and we can barely keep up with all their generosity. Over the years, staff have taken on a huge range of challenges—from growing moustaches for Movember in support of men’s health, to completing the Lincoln Inflatable Colour Dash, taking part in local 10k runs, and even running the London Marathon.

MacMillan Cancer Support

Turnbull staff are committed supporters of Macmillan Cancer Support. They regularly host coffee and cake mornings, and some employees have even shaved heads and legs or dyed their hair blue to help raise money for this special charity.

Boston Plumbing Branch staff taking part in their charity bike ride

A five-person team from our Boston Branch (Darren, Kray, Jenson, Harley and Dan) completed a 50-mile cycle route through Boston, Horncastle, Tattershall, Coningsby and surrounding villages. Led by Dan Lane from the Boston Plumbing Branch, the team smashed their £1,000 fundraising target with help from friends, family, colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Ryan Farrow from our Brigg Branch organised a 12-hour charity walk around a repeating route starting at Caistor Market Place. He covered an impressive 32.5 miles, completed 72,730 steps, and raised £2,000 for Caistor District Lions.
