BATHROOM TRANSFORMATION IN RUSKINGTON
A small family bathroom in a recently purchased two bed semi-detached house needed an upgrade to suit its young professional owners.
Bathroom designer Chloe at Sleaford Kitchen & Bathroom Showrooms has designed a stylish modern grey bathroom for this compact space including a bath with overhead shower.
This was an early lockdown project but the homeowners were keen to go ahead – they were desperate to have a new bathroom! Unable to carry out a home survey, Chloe interpreted measurements, drawings and a product wishlist forwarded by her clients to create the perfect small bathroom layout and look .
3D design software allowed her to produce an exact visualisation of products and colours as well as an overhead view of the floor plan. Useful in every new bathroom project, the software proved absolutely essential in this case, demonstrating how modern bathroom suites work in tight spaces!
Choosing the right modern bathroom suite for a small bathroom can be tricky. Chloe found room for an extra long 1700mm bath – just what was wanted – but proposed a standard width bath, rather than the P-shaped bath the clients had originally requested. Though a great design for overhead shower baths, this small bathroom would have felt very cramped with a P bath – and once installed, they could see that she had made the right call! She also recommended an integrated WC and basin unit, with a smaller than standard basin.
Grey gloss shower and wall panels, a warm wood effect floor and squared profiles for taps and shower valves make this a clean, contemporary design. Grey bathroom tiles and wall panels are very popular for family bathrooms and en suites, and when combined with natural finishes, deliver a soft, neutral look.

Despite lockdown restrictions, Chloe and the showroom team managed product delivery to ensure the plumber had everything available on the agreed install date. And that included swapping out an incorrectly supplied WC for the correct unit just a week before it was required.
It took only four days to remove the old, tired bathroom and install this fabulous contemporary design – proof if you need it that having an experienced team ready to deal with any problems is really worth it.
